OGIM!
Not sure what this acronym means?
Well, it stands for “Oh God, it’s Monday!” a reaction we all can relate to.
Normally, all days of our lives are equal but some days appear longer than others. Monday is one such day of the week which seems longer than the rest of the weekdays.
The same goes with the hours of our day. Generally, all hours are equal but some seem longer than others.
If we pay close attention to it, it is all about perspective that comes into play. Just like that half glass water which appears half filled to some and half empty to others, it is all about the perspective you see it with.
If you have an optimistic outlook, things will be half filled for you and if you opt for a pessimist perspective, the same glass would become half empty.
Now if we take Monday into consideration, it is often referred to as the longest day of the week! Now that it seems long, why not tweak our perspective a little and think differently?
Monday falls right after Sunday which is a fun day! Then why not deal with it with enthusiasm after a required short break?
It is seen, that if we reward ourselves for our little success then we tend to be more productive. Considering Sunday as a day to reward ourselves let’s see Monday as a day to show up and get Sunday at the end of the week as a reward.
If we talk from the psychological point of view, you all must have said “I’ll start from this Monday. I promise” at least once in your life.
What do you think has made you say that?
Monday by default is the day for all of us to have a new beginning and this is what makes me say “Do not hate Monday”
Little twists and tweaks in our outlook on things can bring out humongous changes in the results and this tweak can change the acronym from OGIM to OYIM.
Have a great day!
