Until you get to the sea, you don't know how good your boat is and it is until you don't fail, you don't realize what success is!
The biggest fear in each one of us is the fear of failure. Failure of anything and everything. Failure of not being able to achieve what we desire and failure to do the biggest of tasks we had imagined to do. It is failure that shakes the biggest morals and shatters the greatest beliefs.
Failure is not what you perceive it to be. Like everything, your perspective about things depends here too. When you look at failure as your inability to strive, believe, and achieve, you would certainly lose trust in your capabilities. Every coin has two sides and it is you who should decide on which side to focus on.
Look at this as an opportunity! When you fail at things, you get to know what you lacked and emerge stronger, it shows you what is meant for you and if it's not, then there are better opportunities lying ahead of you.
Failure and fear of failing are what hold us back. I was in the fifth grade when I feared losing in a swimming competition. I had been a winner in other activities all my childhood, but swimming was something new.
I feared losing, so it made me hold myself from participating. This is what failure does!
It makes you feel comfortable in a bubble that you would never be able to burst and this bubble would hinder you from understanding reality. It was due to my parents' pestering that I participated, but I lost.
I felt lost from within but could see my parents happy. That was when I realized, that failure doesn't hold you back, it is the fear of failing which does it. Failure is a teacher who highlights what's important for you and makes you feel worthy of things you're good at.
One cannot be good at everything and failure is what reminds us of that. One who fails doesn't lose but learns. It is a failure that makes you realize what success means and how important hard work is. Failure is as important in the journey of an individual as success is, as it is an eclipse that a moon goes through to shine brighter!
