It ain't easy being lazy as you risk every opportunity coming your way. With chances coming your way, being lazy makes you lose every door that opens for you. Missed chances for one become opportunities for others and you end up in the same situation of twining and whining.
Laze is the haze of zeal and a belief that things go by God's grace and that all you do lacks pace.
Can laziness be something that can be taken hold of? Can it be under our control and can we humans take charge of our will, to spend our time wisely?
The answer to all of these is a Yes!
Like every other emotion and feeling, it can be taken care of and it can be governed by our mind. We can curtail it and channel our thoughts to actions and make use of time.
This channelization is what lies in our brain and this is a major task. To ace this requires clarity of thought and optimism toward your goal. Some things which I believe have helped me get my checklist to tick off and might help you too are:
If you feel lazy, it is because you see a heap of tasks undone. This heap will deter you from doing that single thing, for which you had interest and motivation. A pile would never excite you, sort that pile according to your priority and try to do things in that order. This might seem boring and not helpful by any means, by organizing and segregating forms the basis of a clean mind. A clear mind has a clear vision and who has a clear vision heads forward toward the goal. Decluttering would be the way to get you sorted.
Pen down your thoughts as jotting things down help. Once you have it on paper, things fall into place as you get a clearer objective to achieve your aim and make things happen. This will not only help you create a plan of action but also make it feasible to get into work.
Set goals which are doable because an infinite bunch of things can't be done in a day and one step at a time is what leads to a beautiful journey, which can be completed in a day. You wouldn't be good at everything and there would be other's much much much better than you, realize that as soon as possible because you might not be good at everything but unique. Being lazy won't help that uniqueness seek a vent. Whenever you feel the need to ask for help, do that, because asking for help doesn't make you small but adds up to your abilities.
Every day is not pleasant, neither does the sunshine every day nor is the moon waxing every day, so you can't too!
There would be days, you wouldn't feel the urge to do anything, nor the will from inside and not even from the outside. That's when you see the trail behind, the path you've created, the dynamism you've faced, and the distance you've covered. It's a long way you've covered and your past self is super proud of you. Don't let this laziness shatter the dreams of your younger self. Distractions would be there on days, but you can't make that a habit.
You have to work for the happiness of your past self, making every dime of your effort worthy, and one day, all your efforts will reap the fruit and you would thank yourself for not falling into the claw of laziness.
