Have you ever felt demotivated while following your passion?

Is it because others are putting you down for doing it?

Are you scared that you might not be able to achieve success?

Do you think you are not good enough?

Well, trust me; you're better than what you think about yourself.

You're not alone who feels like this, we have similar thoughts as you have about yourself.

You must've been demotivated at one point in your life; wanting a bit of encouragement from others.

I'm pretty sure that your close ones came to motivate and encourage you to keep going; not be disheartened by your failure, telling you "It's Okay, I believe in you and I know that you can do it."

You must have felt a bit uplifted after hearing those amazing comments about you.

Guess what!

Everyone you know also wants encouragement from you even if they don't ask for it. They could be your best friends, relatives, teachers, and even your parents.

Your behavior towards others leaves a great impact on them; moreover, you may fail to realize that little encouragement and motivation matters in life.

Well, you should motivate your close ones as they need it as much as you do.

Why should you motivate them?

Motivating others also motivates you; it gives you a feeling of encouragement and positivity that propels your mind.

Deep relationships can be built when you understand their motivations. They’ll reveal themselves to you in a way you wouldn’t have thought of.

You’ll give them the confidence they always needed. Most of the time people are scared of doing something and a little motivation goes a long way in solving that issue.

Now, motivating others will not be simple especially when they don’t ask you to motivate them; however, you should still encourage them. They’re your close ones and they need you to support them whenever they feel disheartened.

Here are a few ways to motivate them and make them feel appreciated.

  1. Appreciate them and their efforts. Give them positive feedback, praise them for their hard work and compliment them for their accomplishments.

  1. Encourage their decisions. It'll be scary for them to start on their dream projects but a little encouragement from you will go to great lengths in motivating them.

  2. Offer your help. Although they might say that they don't require your help, it's always good to offer your help. Those knowing that you're there to help will give them enough motivation to work.

  3. Console them wherever they feel disappointed. Give them the care they need and assure them that it’s okay to feel that way but they can still do it.

  4. Have a positive mindset. You'll only encourage others if only you are encouraged; try to have a positive mindset and spread that positivity to them.

  5. Celebrate their success. A little celebration of their efforts and success goes a long hand in motivating them to even work harder and push their limits.

  6. Follow up. Ask them how much progress they’ve made in their goal. You’ll also be motivated by learning about their journey.

Conclusion

Everyone feels demotivated; they might hide it from you. You’ll also feel demotivated at times but when a slight encouragement from others motivates us, so do the same to others. Motivate the people you love and care about even if they don’t ask you to do so. Tell them that it’s okay to feel disappointed but they will succeed. Believe in them and tell them to keep calm and smile. :-)
