When you do something, only then can you tell something about it. It is about having adequate knowledge and understanding of things that you tell others. If you're certain about it, only then can that confidence be instilled in others.
In this world full of hypocrisy and malice, be someone true to their words and someone who knows what they speak. Half knowledge is more dangerous than not having it. The idea of preaching breeds from the fact that you teach what you know and if it's alienating to you, then you can surely not tell others about it.
The world is driven by hypocrites who teach what is glamorized but when it comes to practice, they fall short in doing so. If you don't practice what you tell others, then there will be a day when all the doors might shut in your face leaving you driven off all your individuality, having no stand of your own, and having no say to others because you would be claimed as a person who isn't true to their words.
If I tell others to talk properly to me and behave respectfully, while I go out of my way and be rude and non-sympathetic, and full of arrogance, then there would come a day, when this would all come back to me. I would receive all of this back with exponential atrocities.
In this world of self-interest, even you should be driven and motivated by that to behave and give as much as possible. Be a giver, thinking that this will all come back into your Karmic account as a bonus. Believe that the creator above knows everything, if you give one piece of something to someone today, you'll get 10 of it in return from the creator in the future. The universe keeps track of everyone's actions, if you do good, you reap good and if you have malice, then the repercussions for the same are to be received.
Only if you spread what you do, then can the true intentions of the action be borne out. Behave in a way you would want to be treated and treat others in a way you would want to be treated. Trust the process as everything which goes around comes around. After every dark day, there's a beautiful morning, after every storm, there's a petrichor of nature's beauty and after every fall, there's a spring. After an eclipse the new moon comes, similarly, it is your good deeds which will come back to you.
Never stop being good and practice what you preach to someone and behave as you would, because there are eyes which see you from above and notice every good deed, you do to shower a sea of blessings on you someday!
